Gardens

The gardens surrounding the pottery have been developed since we moved here over 36 years ago. They cover around half and acre of the former hall kitchen gardens and servant’s gardens. They now consist of a series of rooms all protected by mature trees and hedges.

In the spirit of ‘From Earth to Life’ the gardens produce vegetables, fruit and flowers, but as the soil is light sandy loam, there is no clay to be dug for the pottery!
